Mediolobivia pygmaea is a very small clumping species, widespread and extremely variable. Some of its variable forms don’t really look like the same species. Flowers can be pink, orange or red.

It is an attractive, low growing cactus with pale yellow/green flowers. This plant has been discovered many years ago, however description of it was lost and therefore many people thought that this plant does not exist at all!
