Ariocarpus agavoides
€15.00
Ariocarpus agavoides is a distinctive and slow-growing cactus native to northeastern Mexico. It forms a compact, low-growing rosette of elongated, pointed green tubercles, giving the plant an unusual appearance reminiscent of an agave.
During the flowering season, mature plants can produce striking pink to magenta flowers from the centre of the rosette, creating a beautiful contrast against the muted green foliage.
Adapted to hot, dry and rocky environments, Ariocarpus agavoides has a strong underground root system that allows it to store water and withstand prolonged periods of drought. It prefers bright light, excellent drainage and careful watering, particularly during cooler or dormant periods.
Care guide:
Soil: Well drained
Watering: No water in winter. Weekly in spring/summer.
Sun exposure: Full sun, partial shade.
Photographed in 6x6cm pot, plant will be sent bare root.
