Description
Trichocereus candicans is a species of cactus native to Argentina. It belongs to the genus Trichocereus, which is part of the family Cactaceae. This species is commonly known as the Argentine Giant Cactus or the Argentine Saguaro. In late spring or early summer, Trichocereus candicans produces large, white flowers that open during the night and close by midday. In cultivation, Trichocereus candicans is valued for its impressive size and attractive flowers. It prefers well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight, making it suitable for outdoor cultivation in regions with a warm, dry climate. Like many cacti, it is drought-tolerant and should be watered sparingly, especially during the winter months.
