Description
This cactus remains relatively small, usually growing to about 8-10 cm in diameter and a similar height. Notocactus oxycostatus f. securituberculatus produces vibrant, bright yellow flowers, which are typical of many Notocactus species. The flowers are large relative to the size of the plant, often reaching up to 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter. They usually appear in the spring or early summer and add a beautiful contrast to the green body of the cactus.
