Description
Gymnocalycium uruguayense is typically a small, globular cactus, usually growing to about 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7.5 cm) in diameter. The body is usually a deep green color, but it can sometimes appear bluish-green depending on the growing conditions. The plant has well-defined, rounded ribs that are somewhat flattened, and there are typically around 8 to 12 ribs.
