Description
Gymnocalycium carminanthum typically forms solitary or clumping spherical to cylindrical stems with prominent ribs. The stems are covered in small tubercles and are usually dark green in color. In spring or early summer, Gymnocalycium carminanthum produces large, colorful flowers that emerge from the top of the stems. The flowers can vary in color from shades of pink to reddish-purple.
Soil: Very well drained, non organic soil.
Watering: Once a week in summer time, no water in winter.
Sun exposure: Direct sunlight, but can tolerate shade.
