Description
Gymnocalycium andreae is a small, globular cactus, usually reaching a diameter of about 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7.5 cm). The body is typically dark green to bluish-green and has a somewhat flattened, rounded shape. The cactus has around 8 to 10 ribs, which are well-defined but not overly pronounced.The flowers are one of the most appealing features of Gymnocalycium andreae. They are typically bright yellow, a color that contrasts beautifully with the dark green body of the cactus.
