Description
Echinocereus stramineus typically forms clusters of cylindrical stems, each covered in numerous spines. The spines are often straw-colored (hence the name “stramineus”), although they can range from yellowish to white, giving the plant a distinctive appearance. These clusters can grow quite large, sometimes forming mounds that can reach several feet in diameter.
