    Frailea Asterioides

Frailea asterioides is a small, often solitary cactus, typically reaching only 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) in diameter. Frailea asterioides is known for producing small, yellow flowers, but these flowers are often cleistogamous, meaning they rarely open fully. Instead, they self-pollinate while still closed.
