Echinofossulocactus zacatecasensis (syn. Stenocactus zacatecasensis) is a small, globular cactus native to Mexico, particularly the state of Zacatecas. It is characterized by its numerous wavy ribs and dense, sharp spines. This species produces delicate, funnel-shaped flowers, usually in shades of pink or purple.

It is an attractive, low growing cactus with pale yellow/green flowers. This plant has been discovered many years ago, however description of it was lost and therefore many people thought that this plant does not exist at all!
