Description
Stenocactus species are known for their distinctive, ribbed appearance. The ribs are typically very numerous and closely spaced, giving the plant a pleated or wavy look. The plants are generally small to medium-sized, with globular to short cylindrical shapes. The spines are variable, ranging from short and stout to long and needle-like, depending on the species. The spines usually emerge from the areoles along the ribs.
Soil: Very well drained, non organic soil.
Watering: Once a week in summer time, no water in winter.
Sun exposure: Direct sunlight, but can tolerate shade.
